How to Get Woodstock Death Certificates

There are three ways to get a death certificate in Woodstock. Visit the Cherokee County Probate Court on Main Street, mail a request to the state, or order online. The in-person option gives you same-day service. Mail and online orders take 8 to 10 weeks.

To order by mail, use Form 3912 from the Georgia Department of Public Health. Send it to 1680 Phoenix Blvd, Suite 100, Atlanta, GA 30349 with a money order or certified check for $25. Copies come by first class USPS. If no record is found, you get a "not on file" letter and the fee is not returned.

The ROVER online system lets you order from home. It adds an $8 processing fee for a total of $33 per copy. Third-party vendors like VitalChek at 877-572-6343 also take orders by phone with their own fees.

Note: Since the Cherokee County Probate Court is right in Woodstock, most local residents find it quickest to walk in rather than wait weeks for mail or online orders.
